What Is Paint Correction?

Paint Correction is a term us detailers use to correct or enhance your vehicles paint. Paint correction is a procedure that removes hazing, oxidation, minor scratches, marring, swirl marks and other blemishes from your vehicle’s clear coat giving it that glassy, mirror like appearance we all love!

Paint correction takes time, patience, and skill to achieve professional results. With the proper tools, equipment and training; paint correction will leave your car's paint smoother and shiner than the day you bought it.

Does your vehicle need paint correction? 90% of the time; we would say yes. If you’re looking to get a ceramic coating installed by us; we HIGHLY recommend some form of paint correction.

Our Paint Correction Process

To performing paint correction, we must take several steps before we can achieve actual paint correction itself. First, we presoak the vehicle with our premium soap and rinse the vehicle to loosen any surface level contaminants. Next, we thoroughly hand wash and rinse the car’s paint again. Followed by an iron remover solution to remove any iron fall out from our horrible Florida roads; completed by a clay bar treatment to get any left-over contaminants. At this point; the car’s paint is completely clean and silky smooth, ready for the paint correction process. This prep usually takes 1-3 hours, depending on the vehicle’s size and condition. To save us time and most importantly, to save you money; we only focus on the areas that are needing paint correction.

Paint Correction Benefits

  • Removes scratches and swirls that we all hate.

  • Removes hard water spots

  • Removes surface level contaminants like road tar, iron fall out etc.

  • Leaves the paint smoother and shiner than ever.

  • Waxes, sealants and ceramics have a better chance at bonding to the vehicles surface; giving the product a longer time to protect the car’s paint.

Paint Enhancement:

Paint enhancement is perfect for customers that aren’t only on a budget; but also want their vehicle to be much shiner! Although; paint enhancement only removes about 10-25% of the scratches and swirls; it’s a great way to bring out the shine in your car’s paint. A lot of vehicles don’t need extensive paint correction; sometimes a simple paint enhancement will do the job!

Single Stage Paint Correction:

Ideal for new/newer vehicles and will remove defects such as surface level scratches and factory swirls caused by improper washing or neglect. We aim to improve the condition of the car’s paint by removing 50-65% of the defects. This process of paint correction takes anywhere from 4-7 hours, depending on the car's size and condition of the vehicle.

2 Stage Paint Correction:

Helps to remove the deeper level of defects off the car’s paint. We aim to improve the condition of the vehicle by removing 70-85% of the defects. This process takes anywhere from 8-12 hours, depending on the car’s size and condition of the vehicle.
